Cynthia Sue “Cindy” Smith, 59, of Barnsdall, died at 12:40 P.M. on Sunday November 17, 2013 in Tulsa. 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday November 21, 2013 at the Stumpff–Barnsdall Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery at Barnsdall, under the direction of the Stumpff –Barnsdall Funeral Home. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) 5840 S. Memorial Dr. Suite # 307, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145-9082. 

Mrs. Smith was born on May 14, 1954 at Hollis, Oklahoma to James Burton and Glenda Karlene (Rippetoe) Briscoe. She was raised and received her early education at Borger, and Pampa, Texas where she received most of her education, until moving back to Hollis, Oklahoma where she completed her senior year of High School, and graduated from Hollis High School with the Class of 1972. She later attended college at the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts at Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she met, and later was married to Jerry W. Smith on November 23, 1973 at Hollis, Oklahoma. They made their first home at Lawton, Oklahoma where Mr. Smith was employed by Public Service Company of Oklahoma. They later moved to Barnsdall Oklahoma in 1980, and had made their home there since that time. “Cindy” as she was known, was a homemaker and mother. She was a former member of the Barnsdall United Methodist Church, and had been baptized at the Nelagoney Baptist Church. She was devoted to her husband Jerry and as a mother to her daughter, Jaime. 
Her Hobbies were being at her home and farm, and cooking. 

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Jerry W. Smith of the home in Barnsdall, by her daughter Jaime Shunk and husband David of Barnsdall. She was preceded in death by her parents James B. and Glenda K. Briscoe and by one brother; Bobby Briscoe.
