Funeral services for Miss Sheila Renee Rutledge, 17, granddaughter of Childress residents were to be at 2:00pm May 22, 1973 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel at Pampa

Rev. Bill Foil, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Canyon, and Rev. Claude Cone, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Pampa were to officiate.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa.

Miss Rutledge, grand-daughter of Mrs. Bruce Atkinson and T E Rutledge of Childress, died at 1:20am Sunday (May 20) in Brackenridge Hospital at Austin from injuries she sustained in a motorcycle accident May 13 at Austin.

She had graduated from Pampa High School in 1972 and recently completed her freshman year at Texas Tech in Lubbock.  She was born in Amarillo.

Survivors other than her grandparents are her mother, Mrs. Pat Rutledge of Canyon, and two brothers, Timothy and Kevin, both of the Canyon home.
