Glenna Jeanette Hudgins was born on September 11, 1954, in Pampa, Texas, to Elmo and Meda Hudgins. She was the youngest of three daughters, welcomed into the family by her two older sisters, Ramona Trask and Mackie Hudgins. Glenna was raised in a Christian home where faith, love and relationship was first and foremost. Glenna and her family’s musical talent was renowned throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

From an early age, Glenna exhibited a remarkable presence that captivated those around her. People were drawn to her beauty, contagious personality, remarkable talents, and abilities. Glenna began her journey as a lead singer for the Hudgins family trio in grade school, a role that began to showcase her exceptional vocal abilities. Throughout her education, she continued to embrace music, contributing to the junior high choir, the Pampa High School A Cappella Choir, and the Revivaltime choir at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to her musical gifts, Glenna shone on speech and debate teams in high school, where she earned numerous awards at both local and state competitions, further highlighting her diverse talents.

While pursuing her studies in college, Glenna met Stan Buford. Together, they embarked on a fulfilling ministry journey as youth pastors in Indianola, Iowa. It was there that they welcomed their beloved son Schaan, whom Glenna loved "more than anything in the world." She was committed to instilling values of strength, independence, and compassion that would guide him through life. These teachings resonated deeply with Schaan, contributing to the many successes he would achieve.

Glenna's intelligence was marked by a genius-level IQ that opened many doors throughout her career. Her professional journey began with significant accomplishments at Meredith Publishing Company in Des Moines, Iowa, where she excelled in sales. With the rise of the technology sector during the 1970s and 1980s, Glenna  emerged into this field working as a coder of COBOL & PERL computer programming. Her expertise expanded over the years, eventually leading her to establish her own successful business in Texas, focused on computer software education and training.

Throughout her life, Glenna embraced the values instilled by her family of profound love for God, family, friendship, and patriotism. She touched countless lives with her infectious laugh, beautiful voice, and gifted intellect. Glenna leaves behind her loving son Schaan Buford and daughter-in-law Michelle Buford, along with her grandchildren, Bryaana and Braadyn Buford. Her sisters, Ramona Trask and Mackie Gostanian, remain as cherished connections to her past and a source of comfort during this time of loss.

Glenna is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elmo and Meda Hudgins. Our family will sorely miss Glenna., as will her many friends. Personal note from her sister Mackie:

My sister, Glenna passed this week to be with the Lord. I will miss her, but so happy she no longer suffers and that she is in the very presence of the Lord. Mom and Dad with arms outstretched welcoming her. It encouraged me this week to know she was loved by her friends she had made while living in Roseville Ca at Walnut House. So many said "Glenna was the first person to greet me when I came here". She came to Fresno in 2002 and we journeyed together through good times and through her declining health issues. She was so gifted. You are victorious my Glenna. I'm sharing how I want to remember her. So beautiful, talented and loved. Her son Schaan and I were with her through her passing and worked together to celebrate her life with her friends on Friday Jan 17th at Walnut House. We give God the glory as He directed our steps and comforted our hearts and we look forward to seeing her again. Love you, Glenna♥️
