Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Palmitier was born November 5, 1953 in Pampa, and graduated from Pampa High School. He attended Amarillo College where he obtained his LVN license. He worked for Worley Hospital, Pampa Nursing Center, Coronado Healthcare Center and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Ray will be remembered as a kind and loving nurse. The family would like to give special thanks to MHMR and Jennifer for their kindness and help. SURVIVORS: partner and friend of 25 years: Jack Lindke; several cousins including Dennis Palmitier of Pampa; a special friend: Lorelie Ramirez, LVN. Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

Ray was always so sweet and kind to help me with any problems I might have with homework--I knew he would explain it to me so I would understand---I wish I had known more about him--I always felt like I wanted to put my arms around him and say " it's going to be OK", but I didn't know why I felt that way--- and I never did it--- Rest in Peace Ray---Prayers

In the summer of 1973, Ray and I drove to Del Norte,Colorado and there we slept in the city park... very early in the morning we heard a weird repeating noise and then we got very wet! The sprinklers were on!! We got soaked. The next night we slept under some evergreen boughs along a river and did better. We drove to Arizona and back to Pampa... I wanted to see a radio DJ who had worked in Pampa... We had a great time. I did not know he was deceased. I had heard he worked as a nurse in Borger.
